What Do We Believe?
We also believe that the Lord’s return could be soon! We want to be ready. Life is short and we are going to give an account before a Holy God. We believe that most Christians, including ourselves have become more concerned with this world and the things of it than the eternal life to come. We believe that God is still looking for those who will worship Him in “spirit and truth”. We believe that the Lord is compelling believers everywhere to get serious about their faith. We believe that the good news is still the good news and needs to be proclaimed!
Please read our Statement of Faith.
What’s Our Church Like?
Our dress is casual and our worship is contemporary.
Midway through the service children pre-K to 6th grade will be dismissed to attend our Sunday School program.
After our service you are welcome to come join us in our fellowship hall next to the sanctuary for coffee, punch, and treats. We’d love to meet you and visit with you.
New Hope is a non-denominational church. However we are in fellowship with many churches and pastors here in the Sacramento area. Our staff pastors belong to the City Pastor Fellowship and gather regularly for prayer and fellowship.
Why Are We Here?
New Hope is concerned for the lost. We have a desire to proclaim the Good News of the bible. We are working locally in our community to accomplish this command. We are also supporting works in South East Asia, Philippines, and Mexico. We believe that time is short and there is much work still to do.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
– Matthew 28:19-20
How Do We Worship?
We believe that there is much more to worship than singing. We worship the Lord in prayer, in our giving, serving and in the study of His word. But we are exhorted to sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God. We strive in worship to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice as our reasonable form of service.
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
– Psalm 95:1-2
